We understand there have been reports of issues at Lakewood Avenue in Churton Park outside the New World supermarket due to a leaking pipe.

We acknowledge the delay in having this job resolved. There were delays in receiving the appropriate service plans which meant crews were unable to attend. These plans were received and the crews are now onsite and working to resolve the leak.

Desert Road (SH1): Valid until 9:00pm Wednesday 31 Jul 2019.
Expect 2 to 5cm of snow to settle on the road above 800 metres between 5pm this evening and midday Thursday, with lesser amounts down to 600 metres.

Engagement with the community will soon be underway to find a solution to Naenae Pool and to hear the community’s vision for the wider Naenae Town Centre.

The pool’s been closed since April this year because of earthquake safety concerns and since then Council has made it a priority to progress a solution.

Council met on July 9 and agreed for community engagement to go ahead, and a plan’s now being developed which will see engagement start in August.
