Yesterday our neighbours received a package for them delivered to them. Well done!

The suburb on each package was clearly marked.

Yesterday we received a package not for us delivered to us. The suburb on this package was clearly marked. It was very different from the suburb marked on the the other packages. Very poorly done!

While I applaud NZ Post for employing people with reading difficulties, could NZ Post train them to recognise that when the words for the suburbs are different on the packages, one of them MUST be in the wrong place!

The incorrectly delivered package remains at home. I am not paid by NZ Post to deliver their packages.

The worry is how many of our and YOUR packages will be mis-delivered this Christmas?

Thanks to all those who provided food, helped with the service, and helped with the clean-up. You were all awesome - a real community effort!! Special mention must go to Sharon, and Nikki & her husband - your time and committment to us was amazing. Also to the group from the 'Happy Wanderers' who volunteered to sing Christmas songs to us. You helped to make this a special night! God bless you all, and have a wonderful Christmas.

Hutt City Council General Manager of City and Community Services Matt Reid said the report on the learners' pool building, which was added to the main building in 1997, had found it is now rated at less than 20 per cent of the New Building Standards.

While the learners' pool could legally have continued to operate, the council had decided to take a cautious approach and close it. Read more
