We are connecting a new service into the water supply network in the area. This means we have to turn off the supply between 10am and 2pm, affecting water supply to Wise Street, Craigie Way and Jack Vaughan Grove in Wainuiomata.

We recommend affected properties fill up containers with water before 10am and avoid running your dishwasher and washing machine during this time. When the water supply is turned back on, it’s a good idea to open a cold tap slowly then let it run for a minute or so to clear any air bubbles that may have entered the system. Air can cause the water to turn a milky colour, but this won’t affect the taste, and should clear quickly.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this outage and will update you if any of the above should change.

Hi,
Does anyone know of anyone that collects old washing machines? My Smartdrive 5.5 litre, MW512 died (I'm sure its the electronic board) it was working fine then not... usual story. It's probably uneconomic to replace the electronic part, and how I do that at the mo, is any one's guess. So I really have to get a new one as the washing needs to be done.

I know there are people out there who fix up things and / or collect parts.

It seems a waste to totally junk it.

Message me if anyone they know is interested.
