Hi everyone,
My little 12 year-old sister and I have some more freshly-picked, pesticide-free habaneros off our bush that we would like to sell to earn some pocket money.

The $1 coin is for size reference, these habaneros are much bigger than chillies I have seen at the local supermarket retailing for $1:30 each (picture included indicating size relative to a $1 coin) and are really hot so you only need to cut up a small portion into food. Habaneros store well in the freezer so any leftover can be frozen until needed for up to a few months.

$1 each or 6 for $5.

I also have some that I have frozen that we would still like to sell at a rate of 2 for $1.50.

Covid-19 safety precautions:
It is recommended that you rinse produce thoroughly with hot water.

When they are young the legs and beak are darker and they are often confused with our rare black-billed gull. Unfortunately, the numbers of these native gulls have been declining rapidly since the mid-90s, in some places by as much as 50%. We are managing to turn this around though with recent predator control in some areas seeing their numbers stabilising or slightly increasing. The one here on the rock at the estuary is quite young, you can see his bill is transitioning to the characteristic reddy colour. I call the other photo on the wall at Petone Beach "glitch in the matrix".

The Hutt Valley Tennis Association land at the centre of Hutt City councillor Chris Milne’s unprecedented disciplinary investigation could be sold.
Hutt City councillors on Tuesday accepted a recommendation to take first steps towards revoking the reserve status of part of the land, the first step towards selling it.
Milne, whose wife is president of the tennis association, was in October found to have breached the council’s code of conduct over his ongoing conflict of interest in the matter.
Hutt Valley Health Limited, which has a medical hub next to the 1640 square metre block at Mitchell Park, is interested in buying the land, which is valued at $1.4 million. The council has spent years discussing the potential sale.
Councillors noted the association supported the move if the proceeds of the sale were re-invested in their redevelopment plans.
Milne was not present when the vote was taken.
