"I was an unplanned pregnancy and brought to the SPCA to find a home.
I may look like a typical wild rabbit, but I can assure you I am not. My Mum was a domestic rabbit and super sweet. I am good with people I know, and am still young and still learning. I have an inquisitive nature and would love a home with people who will have me around them, either as a solely indoor rabbit, or mostly indoors. I will need a large outdoor area with a weatherproof hutch or shelter for days when the weather is nice. I will need to be inside as part of the family at night, so a hutch or area inside with you is important. I would also like a female rabbit for company, so if you have a lonely rabbit maybe we could be friends?

Old army hat

Lynette from Harbour View

I bought this old army hat in the Hutt for dress-up's over 20 years ago. With Anzac coming up next month, and not wanting to send it to another op shop, wondered where it would be best to take it. It never had a band on it, and doesn't appear to have any name. Any ideas where I should … View moreI bought this old army hat in the Hutt for dress-up's over 20 years ago. Taita aka Avalon Public Hall Mabey St HISTORY

Sandra from Normandale

Anyone know the history of the Taita Public Hall. P L E A S E.
I can find J Cottle in 1904 having the cups and Piano removed from said Hall. Was this where the current Mabey Rd Hall stands which was built 1922 and up for their 100th next year. Hence the need to know.

Wellington’s sprinkler ban has been lifted– but with sporadic rain forecast for winter residents still need to avoid wasting water.
The restrictions were put in place for the Hutt Valley, South Wairarapa, Wellington city and Porirua in mid-February as water usage soared during the summer months.
From Tuesday, residents in Lower Hutt, Porirua and Wellington city can again use sprinklers and irrigation systems, Wellington Water said. In Upper Hutt and South Wairarapa people can do so every second day, as is usual.
Most of the Wellington region’s drinking water comes from rivers and the Waiwhetu aquifer under the Hutt Valley. River levels fell to 90 per cent before the sprinkler ban.
Meanwhile, people in the Wairarapa town of Carterton still have to boil their water after E. coli bacteria was found in the water supply on March 12.

Reason given by the loading truck men. HEALTH and SAFETY.
But Petone shop who received my donation, said the pipes in the work room at the back of Hutt Store are the problem.
