Phone a friend
People in our community need your help. We need you to echo our messaging to people without internet.
With the lockdown it's harder than ever for us to reach those people. Things can change so fast that printed materials can be out of date while still warm from the printer.
Thankfully we have a great community with strong social networks in Lower Hutt, and we need to use that now more than ever.
So please, if you see something important here or on our website, please phone your friends and whānau to pass it on.
Spread information, not COVID-19.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
