The way these services operate might be a little different than normal - for example your GP might be talking to you over the phone rather than seeing you in person, but they are still there to help if you require medical advice. So don't delay in seeking healthcare.

Drainage Serviceman Brent locates the head of a blocked wastewater main in Southgate with his metal detector.
The search started on CCTV when the team found tree roots blocking the main. After locating and uncovering the buried head, they got stuck in and cleared out the pipe with a hand-tool, as they were more than 50m ‘off road’ and their flushing truck was out of range.
Stay safe everyone. It’s a jungle out there!

We are all quite focused on Covid 19 but let’s try not to forget about charities such as theirs. Whilst we're at home, they carry on as per normal, continuing to provide an amazing service but under even greater pressure.
Despite the gallery being closed, fortunately I can still paint in my bubble studio. Please help keep me busy and out of trouble and together we can help support the Hospice.
Payment from the next commission received will be donated straight to Te Omanga Hospice then $100 from each of the next five commissions received thereafter.
Painting Size 36cm x 26cm
Framed in modern white, size 53cm x 43cm (see photo)
If you would like to take up this offer, please email through an image of your house or scene you'd like painted to alfred@memelink.co.nz I'll call you by phone to discuss some ideas/compositions and get a feel for what you'd like, I'll then prepare a couple of thumbnail sketches for you to approve before I start painting.
The painting shown is of a cute little original Petone villa, No 8 Queen Street. It was my first home, purchased way back in 1987 with a Post Office, Home Ownership Account. It's now time to let someone else love and do their magic with it. It's sad to say goodbye, so I've painted myself a farewell gift to remember her by. I enjoyed the process so much, I wondered if others might like their own house immortalized as a painting.

Within two weeks, we have delivered over 5,000 face shields, but we are still hearing the calls of many. As the government and DHB’s publicly assure us that all necessary equipment is readily accessible, the demand for our face shields continues to grow daily, with requests for 30,000 shields.
If you would like to help us help them, sign up to volunteer at shieldsup.org.nz, or make a donation to ensure we can continue to produce and distribute our shields to protect our frontline heroes.

Your rubbish will be collected as normal, but please only put glass in your recycling crate for now.
All other recyclables either reuse or put into the rubbish.
Our contractors are using whatever fleet vehicles are available for glass-only pickup, so you will see trucks collecting that you'd normally see for rubbish only. Be assured, if you put out glass-only in your crate it is being sent for recycling.
