Foodbank needs volunteers.

Volunteer Wellington

Lower Hutt Foodbank are in need of volunteers to join their team. These volunteers will reset the foodbank for the next day of operations. Tasks will include restocking items onto shelves, breaking down bulk items such as flour, rice and sugar into smaller packets, pre-packing parcels, tidying and cleaning. You will need to be energetic and a team player, training will be provided. Join a great team doing valuable work in the community! Message just forwarded - the former Mayor of Lower Hutt John Terris died on Monday 2/2/26.
John was Mayor, MP and councillor [city and regional] over the years giving his all to Lower Hutt and beyond.

traffic chaos

I note no comments about utter traffic chaos alicetown melling area due to not being able to turn from victoria st on to ewan bridge. You would think council would require 24 by 7 work on such a vital road into lower hutt. what about all the extra pollution due to cars crawling along at 10kmph. I guess council doesnt believe in climate change
