Charity Garage Sale
Greenstone Doors Charitable Trust (based in both Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt) are having a fundraising garage sale on Saturday 27 February from 10:30am - 1:30pm at 1285 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt - The Chanel Family Centre. We would appreciate any donations of used items including furniture, bric-a-brac, clothing etc. These can be dropped off on the front porch of 23 Burnside Street, Waterloo. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
