Keep up the good work, Auckland.

Gemma Bridge from Watercare

Aucklanders have been making a strong effort to use less water and we want to thank you. Yesterday, Auckland’s water consumption was 397 million litres - that's 3 million litres under the target of 400 million litres or less!

We have increased capacity, we are still producing significantly less water than normal, so we need everyone to keep up the good work.

We are currently asking people to ‘Save20’ through voluntary water savings. This is about finding simple ways to reduce water use by 20 litres a day – such as taking shorter showers, turning off taps when brushing teeth or shaving and avoiding watering gardens and washing cars.

You can find out the latest about Auckland’s water supply situation, as well as more tips to help you reduce water use, at www.watercare.co.nz... or click the link below.
