Boxing Day Market
This Saturday is Boxing Day and Yes, we'll have our market 8am to 12pm (700 Block of Pollen St, Thames)! It will be a little smaller than usually - even stallholders need a Christmas break - but there will still be plenty of wonderful wares, organic fruit and veggies, second hand books, collectables, soaps, jewellery etc etc on the stalls. Sola Café and Checkers will also be open. So get ready for a relaxing Saturday morning on Thames Market.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
