Wheelchair accessible swing for Whangarei
2024 Wheelchair Accessible Seesaw, Raumanga. We are thrilled to share that our fundraising was successful, and as of October 2024, the construction for a wheelchair friendly seesaw is underway in Raumanga, Whangarei. We will update you with photos once construction is complete.
Now that 2024 is rolling to a successful close, we are setting our sights on our next project. We are asking you, the community, to have your say on the next location for a wheelchair friendly swing. Our two preferred locations are the playground being planned in Onerahi OR Pohe Island playground. Please vote via our poll on our Facebook page, or contact us at childrenwithdisabilitynz@gmail.com
Option one -- Onerahi
Option two -- Pohe Island
