The NZ Defence Force has moved into Northland to help with the water crisis and the Government will pay $2m to secure water in the Far North. Meanwhile, Whangārei residents are now on water restrictions and bores could run dry. Do you think it is right for Central Government to step in and help? As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
