NZ Sign Language Course in Whangarei
Big ups to Eddie and co for arranging the sign language courses in Whangarei. I have only been to one lesson so far but Eddie is patient, has a great SOH and is really keen to have other people learn his language (the third official NZ language) and I can see it is going to be a fun-filled 10 weeks where we are going to learn the basics at the very least. Thanks have to go out to the team who helped make it so affordable as they are keen for the comminuty to be able to talk to them and to the council for a bit of funding too.
The only thing is, to those doing the course, we might need to organise times to meet up and Practice! Practice! Practice! :-)
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
