life celebration service

Paula from Havelock North

My wonderful mother Anne Crook (nee Hewkin) passed away last week on Tuesday 9th February.

We are having a service at the Redemption Point Church on Napier Rd (the old red cross hall behind the kindy) in Havelock Nth on Saturday 20th Feb at 11am.

Her funeral notice was in the Hawkes Bay today on Saturday 13th February. I am posting this here in case there are those that don't get the paper or are not on her Facebook page.

To those who knew her, come and help us celebrate this positive and caring person and the full life she had.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
