Any staunch fan of the great race should already have this one marked in vivid on the calendar; if you haven’t, lock in the weekend of 12–13 January 2019, — a weekend celebrating all things Bathurst!

Held at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, headlined by not only vehicles that have competed at the legendary track but also drivers. Expect to see the likes of Dick Johnson, John Bowe, Jim Richards, Steve Richards, Paul Radisich, the Stone Brothers — the list goes on!

Of course, there will be exhibition laps featuring the star cars and drivers, as well as a thoroughly juicy racing schedule, including Enzed Central Muscle Cars.

Police apologise to rest home alleged theft victim after failing to act

Police have apologised to a pensioner who caught a carer-turned-crook allegedly stealing cash, admitting there was more they could have done.

The about-face comes after the Waikato Times revealed the plight of rest home resident Lisa Allen, who set up a hidden-camera, capturing footage that appeared to show the caregiver opening her handbag and taking out a $50 note while the room was unattended.
