Poll: Should the Hillcrest roundabout have raised pedestrian crossings?
A $6.4 million roundabout project is coming for Hillcrest, but debate continues about whether it will have raised pedestrian crossings.
Hamilton city councillors have approved a roundabout at the junction of Morrinsville, Silverdale and Matangi roads - part of $11.2 million in NZ Transport Agency-funded works in the area.
But they were divided on whether it should have the crossings, with some saying there were no pedestrians around and others saying there are three nearby schools.
Do you think it should include raised crossings? Tell us your reasons (adding NFP if you don't want your comments used in print).

‘Devastated and disappointed’ - former students hope it wasn’t one of their own
Former students of Taupō Nui-a-Tia College say they’re “devastated” and “disappointed” after the alleged arson at their school which has left an entire block of classrooms, and a health centre destroyed by fire.
Emergency services were called to the school about 2.15pm on Sunday, when plumes of black smoke could be seen across town.
