New Zealand's small businesses have had another tough few weeks. We're calling on you, wherever you are across the country, to recognise a local business making a difference in your community.

We all love a cheeky grin and a wave from our local grocer, or a toot from the delivery driver, or a coffee order that’s ready before we arrive. These are the business owners who remind us we're home.

Give your favourite local business owner the recognition they deserve by nominating them in the 2023 Prospa Local Business Hero awards.

Why did they select these three probiotics? COMPELLING EVIDENCE!
Here is some of the evidence behind the use of one of the probiotics, HN019, reviewed in Frontiers of Nutrition:
"Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis HN019 (B. lactis HN019™) has a beneficial role in maintaining intestinal barrier functions during gastrointestinal infections by competing and excluding potential pathogens via different mechanisms; maintaining normal tight junction function in vitro; and regulating host immune defense toward pathogens in both in vitro and human studies."

A chopper will be flying much needed goods into them and this Give a Little page (see link below) is to fundraise for that. If you have animal feed you would be willing to donate: dog, cat, chicken or calf food, I am willing to take a load down to Taupo to the chopper base. I live near Matamata and could collect feed between here and Taupo. Please contact me if you could donate some feed and if we get enough for a load, I will go down on Tuesday or Wednesday. If you prefer to donate cash to Give a Little, any amount would be most welcome. Many thanks.
