Water for an emergency
One way of saving water for emergency use is to 3/4 fill clean plastic milk bottles or similar & store them in the bottom of your freezer. This will give an extra benefit in the event of a power cut, as the more full a freezer is the longer contents will stay cold. Also if it is a chest type freezer the layer of water bottles will raise contents higher so you don't have to reach so far down for those elusive items!

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
