Celebrating French language in Hamilton!
Did you know that more than 300 million people around the world speak French, and there are more than 1200 French speakers in Hamilton from a range of different countries? Not to mention all the other people living here who have visited or lived in a French-speaking country or who have taken classes somewhere.
To celebrate the week of French language and Francophonie from 18 to 25 March, the Alliance Française invites you to visit us for an exhibition on French expressions at our premises upstairs at 114 Alexandra Street.
• Monday Tuesday and Thursday: 5:00 - 6:30 pm
• Wednesday and Friday 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
We will be finishing the week with an "Apéro" on Saturday night, otherwise known as a tasting of French wines, cheeses and cured meats. To keep with the theme we are offering a special francophonie quiz this evening. We would love for you to join us, flyer attached, and tickets are available on Eventbrite:

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
