Friend’s fears for missing teacher
Whānau and friends searching for missing Tokoroa teacher Jayleb-Che Dean say the normally outgoing and social man was known to “go off grid“ from time to time but concern for his wellbeing is growing after he missed the first day of the new school term.
On Monday morning, around 80 to 100 people gathered at the location where Dean, 36, was last seen on the night of Tuesday, September 30 - a popular off-the-beaten-track swimming spot known as ‘hot-cold stream’, about a 20 minute drive south of Rotorua at Waiotapu.
