Bike the Bridge this Friday!
Will you be taking part? With the new-look Claudelands Bridge complete and ready for riding, Hamilton City Council is encouraging people who work in the city to bike the bridge this Friday morning.
As an incentive, they’ll be offering free high-vis vests to those who take up the challenge.
Jason Harrison, the City’s Transportation Unit Manager says “This project is about improving the connection between the central city and the suburbs for people on bikes."

Guest judge Alia McQueen said the National Party MP showed loads of “style and energy” as he out-bombed his parliamentary colleagues at Saturday’s impromptu manu challenge at Wellington Street Beach in Hamilton.

Police investigating a serious assault in Matangi are asking the public for help in identifying the offenders.
Two people were trying to speak to the occupants of a dark-coloured Ford Falcon on Saturday night that was doing noisy burnouts in the semi-rural area.
