SPCA centres looking after a variety of animals are finding themselves short of foster carers over the winter months.
One veteran carer says it gives you a natural high. "You feel good, the dog feels good, it benefits everyone."
In Hamilton, the SPCA is looking for dog fosterers who can help pups learn to socialise with other animals.
