Serious crashes closes SH1 between Hamilton and Cambridge
Several serious crashes in the Waikato region have left five people injured overnight and closed down State Highway 1 south of Hamilton. Read more
The road is blocked near Tamahere. Diversions are in place but the agency says delays in the area are likely for all road users. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and expect major traffic delays.
The NZ Transport Agency is advising people heading to Hamilton Airport to allow plenty of extra time for their journey. People travelling to the airport should consider using State Highway 3 from Hamilton. Keep up to date here
