We're working with our contractor Waste Management on having further recycling options available by the end of the month. Our contractor needs to be able to work safely under the Level 2 restrictions and are currently working on this to be able to provide the full recycling service.

Would anybody be interested in adopting a farm/outdoor cat? A local business has a cat that was dumped a few years ago, they had him desexed and feed him twice a day but are moving on soon and need to find a new home for this boy. He is used to people but does not like to be touched, he would make an excellent mouse catcher but will need to be fed and have shelter provided. As he gets used to you he may become more friendly but this is not a given. He is estimated to be around 3 years old and is neutered. Please contact me for more information.

Some were already struggling to get enough helpers before Covid-19 - so Sport Waikato and Volunteering Waikato are launching a campaign to help out.
"It might be that a club needs someone for two hours pre-season to sort the uniforms, or someone one hour a week to put a newsletter together," Sport Waikato boss Matthew Cooper said. Read more here. Do you volunteer, or would you?

Trees That Count are an environmental charity on a mission to plant millions more native trees throughout New Zealand. Trees That Count runs the country’s only marketplace which provides a place for anyone to fund or gift native trees. This support is matched with planters throughout the country who are restoring, and growing, precious wildlife corridors or pockets of native forest, turning small projects into mighty ones.

It's inspirational to meet a family that's taken the plunge to leave the rat race and establish themselves in the country. This couple not only managed to keep their jobs, but also build a stunning house on the Coromandel Peninsula that has caught the eye of NZIA judges.
