‘He was one of a kind’: Whānau can finally farewell Aydan Brown
For four months, Aydan Brown’s anguished whānau wondered where he was.
On Monday they got an answer when his body was found in his ute in the Waikato River. It was minutes away from Chartwell, where Brown, 39, was last seen leaving his cousin’s birthday party in August.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
