On-street all-day parking rates at some central city locations will become cheaper for workers and other long-stay visitors parking in central Hamilton.
Starting on Monday, Hamilton City Council introduced lower pricing at selected all-day parking locations where occupancy is below 85% making it more cost-effective for those looking to park in the city longer every day.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
