Hamilton house values have dropped an average 12% in new city council figures to be released on Thursday.
Residents will be able to check the latest valuation of their biggest asset online but they’ll have to wait a while yet to see how their individual rating valuations (RVs) affect how much they’ll pay in rates and how various suburbs have fared.

Meatstock 2026 canned amid tough times
Popular BBQ festival Meatstock will not be going ahead in New Zealand this summer.
In an email sent to ticket holders by organiser Jay Beaumont, Meatstock said the New Zealand festival would not be going ahead.
The two-day BBQ and music festival was meant to take place from February 13 to 14 at Mystery Creek near Hamilton.
