Oh no! Brian and Barbara Baker are leaving!

The Editor from Te Kowhai Newsletter

It's front page news because Brian and Barbara Baker have been residents for decades and are heavily involved in all sorts of community and charity groups.

Not only will Te Kowhai be losing this lovely hand-holding, block-walking couple but there'll be vacancies on all the local community groups.

Te Kowhai Community Group needs more members! Contact pd.scott@xtra.co.nz if you're interested.

The Hall Society needs more members! Contact mike.feck@xtra.co.nz if you're interested.

Have a read of the March issue of Te Kowhai News if you need time to think about it. In this issue:
- Interview with Brian and Barbara (obvs!)
- Volare bread stockist in Whatawhata (most important news!)
- Update on the state of our expressway and why they're ripping it up.
- Photos of the church being moved in (and how tight a squeeze it was).
- Things to get involved in at Perrinpark.
- Drop in session coming up to talk about district priorities for the Council. If you have an opinion on this you NEED to go to the drop in session. Your opinion isn't going to change anything if you don't share it.
- Scentsy consultant in Te Kowhai - see ad on P18
- Heaps more.

Shout if you have any questions or feedback. Sign up to one of the community groups if you want to give something back to this awesome community that you live in.

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Are you a Te Huia fan?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

All three Hamilton MPs appear to be united behind the retention of the Te Huia passenger rail service between Hamilton and Auckland, as well as potentially expanding it to Tauranga.

But whether Hamilton East’s Ryan Hamilton, Hamilton West’s Tama Potaka and soon-to-be Labour list MP Georgie Dansey have the combined power to shunt transport minister Chris Bishop and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon onto their line of thinking remains to be seen.

Are you a Te Huia fan? Tell us more in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).
