A bid to turn a historic former munitions facility into a crafting hub has won some city council backing, and the possibility of cash with it.
Hamilton City Council had earmarked $200,000 earmarked for the demolition of an old facility on Flynn Park in Hamilton East. A group of councillors wants to redirect that to a proposed revamp led by the Waikato Guild of Woodworkers.
