Poll: What do you reckon about passenger rail stopping in Morrinsville?

Libby Reporter from Waikato Local

It’s been over 20 years since a passenger train last stopped in Morrinsville, locals recall, but they say it’d be “fantastic” if it came back to the town.

Cathy Balvert remembers the last time the train ran to Tauranga, because she took it with her kids, now in their 30s.

What do you reckon about passenger rail stopping in Morrinsville? Tell us your reasons in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
