Urgent water savings this evening in Hamilton
Water saving needed for northeast suburbs
Urgent water-saving measures are being requested this evening (Tuesday 5 December 2017) in the north-eastern suburbs of Hamilton. A combination of unprecedented water usage for this time of the year, coupled with an unexpected issue in a planned maintenance project, are likely to result in very low and fluctuating water pressure.
To help us maintain supply, we are requesting all non-essential water usage be halted throughout the city, particularly in the northeast. Please don’t water your gardens this evening, and conserve water where possible.
Thanks for your assistance. There will be further updates later this evening on Hamilton City Council's facebook page.
