Now taking enrolments for The level 3 kai oranga course is now here in the Waikato! This has been one of the fastest growing courses with 37 delivery sites across the motu! An NZQA course through Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi, delivered right here in the Waikato!
The classes are aimed at developing our marae. Starts in December depending on numbers (Venue and exact start date class times and noho to be confirmed)
Fees Free!
40 weeks with 600 hours blended delivery.
10 x 3 day weekend noho and 2 classes during the week, Mondays and Wednesday evenings.
Some of what you will learn: Ture tikanga and ture tangata practices in growing a maara kai, also, a basic rongoa Maori component, seed sovereignty and sharing, and a kai component and more! Click on link for details
Minimum requirements to enter:
-Aged 16 and upwards, rangatahi, pakeke and kaumatua, Nau mai Haere mai!
-You will have a commitmemt to attend the kaupapa, and a willingness to learn, share and participate in developing a beautiful maara.
To enrol you will need to be:
-A New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
-Have a passport or birth certificate.
If you do not have either we may be able to assist you for the purposes of enrolling.
