EarthDiverse Term 3 Intro to New Zealand History course
EarthDiverse is pleased to present one of its newest History courses: “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the History of the Land of the Long White Cloud, Aotearoa New Zealand.” This introduction and overview to New Zealand history through a series of 8 talks explores Rudyard Kipling’s description of New Zealand as “Last, Loneliest, Loveliest.” Aotearoa New Zealand, one of the most isolated countries in the world, has a unique and intriguing history, waiting to be told and retold to curious minds. Over the following eight weeks we will explore the geographical, social, economic and political characteristics of this small nation, which has already punched above its weight locally and internationally. Begins Fridays starting 6 August, 4:00-6:00pm. In-person or on-line.
