For example, Jan had two painters provide quotes for some painting and wallpaper work. She chose her painter and the work was completed. Two weeks later she noticed bumps and lumps in the wallpaper, that she hadn’t noticed at the time the bill was paid.
With a faulty product, you can return it and ask for a repair, replacement or refund. But that’s not so easy with a service! But Jan’s story ended well, the painter came back and rectified the problem at no cost to Jan.

Most new home builders have a long list of questions...what building materials should we use? How can we include energy-saving features? How (and when) will the final price for my home be determined? How can we minimise unexpected costs and what warranties and guarantees will my new home have?

Even though the cat shooting post was 4 months ago the update is although Bindi, who was shot, has not regained the full use of her back legs, she is still bright ,happy and loving. I would like to alert people to the fact that air rifles are not harmless but very dangerous and infact against the law in suburbia. The police took the shooting very seriously. One callous persons mindless act took a huge needless toll physically, financially and emotionally. I thank Logan who saw Bindi dragging herself along the footpath and taking her to the vet. Everyone who heard of the shooting was horrified. Re comments from Phil, who hasnt heard of 'the silent majority', David and whoever, i state that i have a large garden that i enjoy and do not care in the slightest if neighbours cats come over the fence and fertilise the plants. Good old manure, better than anything you can buy and the plants flourish. The best pet owner in the world will not stop a cat jumping fences and now housing is increasingly condensed and congested like the people and cars and cats and dogs arent allowed to be free

Since February 2017 The branch opened again under administration by national office (RNZSPCA) and have steadily been restoring the branch back to the service and reputation it needs to be. At the SPCA National AGM in June 2017, the majority of SPCA branches voted to become ONE SPCA - no more 45 branches all trying to do their best with managing resources well.

If you have been a Waikato SPCA member, are a life member, supporter, volunteer, guardian angel but not involved currently, our branch needs all the local support it can get. We have a newly appointed branch manager who has been in place 5 weeks now, and the centre is a much different place than recent few years. Please consider engaging again locally. We have so many animals in this significant region, and need all the support we can to keep SPCA involved in keeping the welfare of animals protected and represented. Centre opening times are still limited currently, but these are extending as the re-establishment of the branch progresses.
