Stranded French Travellers
Greetings Neighbours, we have facilitated yesterday a French couple stranded in NZ but are still fielding calls from others to find accommodation in some way that is an improvement on eg sleeping in a modified HONDA odyssey. If you have or know of vacant accommodation, this link may provide some relief for those struggling to wait the month out or as in another case, until their planned departure on Tuesday. ‘Simply irresponsible’: Wallaby likely kept as pet in Hamilton, regional council says
A wallaby spotted in Hamilton was probably kept as a pet, the regional council says - and that’s “simply irresponsible”.
The dama wallaby, which had an immature joey in its pouch, was spotted in Frankton on March 3, reported and killed, Waikato Regional Council says.
