Coastguard crew member swam through large swells to rescue three fishermen

A Coastguard rescuer has recalled swimming through large swells to rescue three fishermen whose boat capsized south of Raglan on Sunday.

The men were left shivering with bleeding wounds on the rocky coastline after the incident near Spot X, a well-known but remote surf break off the coast of Whale Bay, Raglan, just after 9am.
