Reduce outdoor water use
Water Alert Level 2 restrictions are now in place for Hamilton. With more warm weather on the way this weekend we’re reminding residents to use water wisely and reduce outdoor water use.
There are lots of simple ways to save water, for example, watering the garden by hand, or washing your car on a piece of lawn that needs watering, or taking shorter showers!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
