Exercise Classes for Seniors - for balance, coordination and posture.
New exercise courses being run by Steph McLennan, from Midland Community Pharmacy Group.
The classes are designed to ensure we
have the strength, balance flexibility and aerobic capacity to lead active independent lives. They also promote strength and stability to reduce the incidence of falls within the home.
The class leaders are well qualified in the field of senior health and mobility. Checks and balances will be regular to make sure that improvements are made as time goes on
.
The cost is $4 per class and run for 1 hour.
All exercise may be performed from a chair or seated position, although well suited for seniors (men or women), we find that younger visitors find it very useful too.
People may choose either
Perrinpark or Ngaruawahia classes or both.
They are two different formats, two different leaders but both have the same aims.
Comfy stable shoes, a bottle of water and loose
clothing is all that is required.
LOCATIONS:
Perrinpark - 1.30pm on Thursdays in the Perrinpark centre and 9.30am Ngaruawahia - 9.30am Tuesdays in the Memorial Hall next to the New World Car park.
