The Government announced that the minimum wage will increase by 50 cents from $15.25 to $15.75 on April 1 2017. What are your thoughts on this increase? Do you or do you not support it? The deputy mayor says this paves the way for “basically creating a new suburb within the city”.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
