Our fantastic volunteers provide a much needed point of social contact for our community and a nutritious healthy meal! You can volunteer to help out as a volunteer driver either regularly or on a casual basis. The service you will be providing is a vital part of what makes our Hamilton community work.

Over time, the cost to throw rubbish into landfill is going to increase. As a city, we need to reduce what we throw into landfill, so we’re looking at a wheeled bin kerbside collection that lets us recycle a lot more – including food waste.
We want your views on whether we should make this change or stay with what we do now. Consultation information is available at your local library or from the Council office in Civic Square. For more information, or to make an online submission, go to fightthelandfill.co.nz or contact us on 07 838 6699.
