Date & Time: Sun, Jul 22 2018, 8:30AM - 12:30PM

As part of the finishing touches on the current stage of development on the Te Otamanui Walkway, the Community Group are planting more native plants and trees along the path's margins.

The Group need lots of volunteers to help plant - there are 3,500 to go in.

Last year, volunteers planted 2,500 in exactly 3 hours - so, if lots of people help, it is not a big task. And you meet like-minded, enthusiastic people - chatting and planting is mandatory.

When: Sunday 22nd July

Where: drive into the Coombes' Sand Quarry on Ngaruawahia Road (about 0.5km from the northern end of the village), and head all the way down the back to the gully. It will be signposted.

Time: 8.30 am to 12.30, irrespective of weather conditions. If there are plants left over at noon, we'll reschedule another session later in the month.

Bring: a spade, drink, chew bars etc.
