Darfield and Leeston bus trial extended to October

Nicole Mathewson Reporter from The Press

The commuter bus trial in Darfield and Leeston will continue for another four months.

Enivronment Canterbury (ECan) said the Leeston service would also be extended to include Southbridge after further funding was made available through the regional council's annual plan.

"It’s encouraging to see the strong level of support from the Selwyn community to continue these services. We’re happy to confirm they will continue to be provided on a trial basis, meaning that we are likely to test out different options to see further growth in patronage, particularly for the Leeston service,” he said," ECan public transport senior manager Stewart Gibbon says.
