If you'd like to make your suggestions, we can try and come to a consensus so that should you find yourself talking to someone at the council who tells you that you should deal with NZTA, you'll at least have the same location suggestion as [hopefully] everyone else who feels like asking for it.
If you work backwards from the train crossing, up to the 70km sign, that's effectively your available range.
Obviously some locations along that stretch of road will simply not be suitable, but hopefully a suitable one will come to the forefront.
Speak now, or forever hold on for dear life to your kids / pets / life / shopping bags / takeaway / old person's trolley thing / school bag / work satchel / man bag / sports gear / gas bottle / drink crate / drunk mate / pizzas / pushchair / pram / stroller / buggy / annoying sibling / etc.
Cheers,
