Roger Halls Sparkling Comedy Social Climbers
What do you call six women stranded on a mountain in the rain: ridiculous! Or you could call them social climbers … but just not to their faces! Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.

Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.
Torrential rain and a flooded bridge keep them stranded for three days. What they get up to, to help pass the time, raises a few eyebrows and will have you laughing, tearing up and applauding enthusiastically as they bare all.
Of course, it’s not just souls that are exposed, there’s a little nudity, a cracking thunderstorm, explosions, screaming bloody murder, ghostly stories, a birthday celebration, a séance, a drunken party, confessions, meltdowns and revelations that will keep you and your friends entertained throughout.
Perfectly timed for your own social group’s ascent into summer, don’t miss this hilarious play when it comes to a town near you in November.

Police have been made aware of a recent incident where a person received a call from someone claiming to be from Spark, saying their computer had been accessed illegally or used for criminal purposes. The caller then said they were transferring the person to OFCANZ. The “OFCANZ employee” then gave the person instructions on how to allow them access to their computer and sought access to the person’s bank accounts. OFCANZ was renamed and is no longer used within Police.
Police’s message on scams like this is simple – do not engage with anyone on the phone if you think you are being scammed – hang up immediately and report the incident.
If you are in doubt as to a caller's legitimacy, ask if you can call them back, or just hang up. Information on other scams that are currently operating can be found on the Consumer Protection NZ website.

THE NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR THE DEAF
Hearing loss is an invisible disability affecting 880,350 New Zealanders, or one in six of us. It’s predicted that by 2050, it will affect one in four.
Silent Leadership Challenge 2018 takes place on Friday 21 September. On that day, corporate and community leaders and teams will be tackling various challenges while wearing hearing protectors to simulate deafness.
Funds raised will help support the work of The national Foundation for the Deaf and Hearing New Zealand
Thank you to MSA The Safety Company for donating the hearing protectors.
