Emails reveal hotel groups plan to mothball Dunedin hotel
Only two staff may be left at a Dunedin hotel earmarked for mothballing, leaving dozens out of work, including some who have worked at the site for several decades.
New Zealand-owned hotel chain Scenic Circle, which operates two Dunedin hotels with a combined capacity of 310 rooms rooms, has proposed mothballing its hotel on Princes St, Scenic Hotel Dunedin City.

While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.
