What do you think of the Otago Daily Times' Samoa cartoon?
The Otago Daily Times newspaper has been heavily criticised for a cartoon it ran in print on Tuesday.
The cartoon by Garrick Tremain depicted two woman walking out of a travel agent, with one saying to the other: "I asked, 'What are the least popular spots at the moment?' She said: 'The ones people are picking up in Samoa.'"
The Samoan Government has completely shutdown its private sector following the deaths of 55 people there, most of whom were children.
What do you think of the cartoon? Do you think it's offensive and inappropriate? Or just a simple, lighthearted joke? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
