A snapshot of where refugees settle in New Zealand
An increase in New Zealand's refugee quota will see more refugees settling in smaller cities and towns.
That was partly due to increasing housing pressure in larger centres coupled with new refugee settlement locations.
Dunedin welcomed the highest number of refugees in 2018-19 with 184, followed by Wellington (167), Waikato (157), Manawatu (143) and Nelson (124).
