12 days of SPCA Christmas pets: Meet Cajun, the dog from Dunedin
Looking to spice up your life with a lovely canine companion? Cajun is the girl for you.
This 5-year-old beauty in Dunedin is sugar and spice and all things nice - and she's awfully smart, too.
Cajun has been very easy to train and it would be great for her to find a family who will be able to continue with her training. An experienced owner would also be ideal, as she has a lot of energy!
A loyal and happy dog, Cajun is sure to make a great companion - she just needs to find her person.
Can you be Cajun's Christmas hero? For more info on her, please contact the SPCA in Dunedin at 03 473 8252.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
