Of Palmerston North. Passed away peacefully May 19th 2023, at Nelson Street Residential Care Centre in Feilding. Aged 94 years. Treasured husband of the late Isobel. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Sue Freeman, Helen and Greame Murphy, Bruce, Steve and Karen Freeman. Cherished Grandad to Justin, Malinda, Letitia, Juanita, Guy, Brett, Kelly, Katie, Joshua, Krystal and adored Great-Grandad to Samuel, Sophie, Benji, Millie and Isobella. Peacefully on May 18, 2023 at Dunedin Hospital, with her loving family by her side; in her 92nd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Irwin, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Russel and Jackie (Wanaka), Christine and Martin (Christchurch), cherished Nana – Nan of Ben and Jenn, Elise and Ash, Lisa and Callum, Nikki, Scott and Amy, Amy and Sam, adored great-Nana of her great-grandsons, Chase, James, Jordy, Leo, Hunter, and Parker. A service of farewell for Betty will be held in the Lawrence Presbyterian Worship Centre, Colonsay St, Lawrence, on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11.00am, then leaving for the Lawrence Cemetery. Mourned by her sons Brendon and Sean, daughter Siobhan, daughter-in-law Sandy, grandchildren Zack and Sophie (and Sophie’s husband Ben), great-grandson August, surviving sister Cicely and a large extended family worldwide.
